The Moremi Game Reserve is known as one of the best wilderness areas in Africa. It boasts with a beautiful variety of landscapes, dry savannas, Okavango Delta channels and wetlands. Moremi covers some 4,871 km2, as the eastern section of the Okavango Delta. It combines mopane and acacia forests with floodplains and lagoons. The wide range of habitats in Moremi makes it to a paradise for wildlife. Birdlife is prolific and varied, mammals such as elephants and buffalos can be found in large herds. The rare wild dog is often sighted in Moremi. Lion, leopard, cheetah and hyena as well as many different antelope such as red lechwe can be found in Moremi.
