The Makgadikgadi and Nxai Salt Pans were once an ancient great lake in central Botswana.

The pans fill once a year with water and attract huge herds of animals to the area.

During rainy season flamingos, herds of zebra and gnu can be seen in this vast and beautiful landscape.
